Senior Director, Professional Education

Position Summary: The Senior Director is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of AHIP’s educational forums, webinars and conferences focused on the health care industry and aimed at educating its health insurance members. Educational programs will focus on a range of issues from regulatory issues associated with health care reform implementation and health policy to payment reform models and prevention, wellness and health information technology and health plan operations. Knowledge and understanding of issues impacting the health care industry and specifically the health insurance industry is imperative with an eye for identifying emerging challenges. Understanding of Federal and State health policy and regulatory issues, as well as the ACA is beneficial.

Special Assistant, Clinical Affairs & Strategic Planning

The Special Assistant is responsible for coordinating the overall day-to-day operations and designated activities for the Executive Vice President, Clinical Affairs & Strategic Planning.

  • Serves as the Executive Vice President’s representative for external and internal queries, manages scheduling, correspondence and travel and tracks/organizes strategic issues identified by the Board.
  • Assists Executive Vice President with project work (i.e. research, preparing materials/briefs/reports, etc) and coordinates with department staff on special project work directly under the supervision of the Executive Vice President.
