Position Summary: At the direction of the Senior Vice President, Federal Programs, the Director, Federal Programs participates in AHIP's government relations effort and contributes to strategy development for federal regulatory activities.  Responsibilities include closely following and evaluating federal agency regulations, guidance, and action, assisting with advocacy on federal programs issues, and member support.  Principal areas of focus may include, but not be limited to, the Medicare Part D program and issues related to dual-eligible beneficiaries.

Director, Medicare Policy

At the direction of the Vice President, Public Programs Policy, provides policy analysis and expertise on the Medicare Advantage and Part D programs, as well as the Medicare fee-for-service program, as needed in support of America’s Health Insurance Plans operating departments and member organizations. Responsibilities include performing and assisting in designing quantitative analyses of Medicare program trends; developing background analysis and information that contributes to policy development; preparing concise analyses of key issues; closely monitoring and analyzing federal legislative initiatives, health policy developments, and federal agency policies; and pursuing other duties in support of America’s Health Insurance Plans’ advocacy efforts.

Media Relations Manager

Position Summary: The Media Relations Manager will support AHIP’s media relations activities. This position will oversee comprehensive media monitoring; identify opportunities for proactive media engagement; conduct research on interview topics; prepare backgrounders and briefings for senior executives; maintain communications materials so that they are up-to-date and organized; and help to coordinate communications events and activities.

Project Associate 

Position Summary: Works closely with the various members of the Insurance Education department to develop business prospects as they pertain to online learning initiatives. Once prospects are identified, works in conjunction with technology vendors and communication providers to finalize the sales and implementation of initiatives.  Maintains relationships with companies that are currently using Insurance Education products to ensure a proper level of customer support and overall satisfaction.  Supports sales initiatives through outreach, information distribution, and training of company contacts in use of AHIP systems.

Senior Director Digital Engagement

Position Summary:The Senior Director of Digital Engagement will lead all components of AHIP's online presence, including AHIP.org.  This will include overseeing and leading members of the digital engagement team that develops digital content for AHIP's advocacy, marketing, business affairs, and conferences. This position is responsible for the direction, quality, voice, governance, and overall content strategy of the association’s public facing, digital assets.  This position will help oversee all online campaigns, paid and earned, and will develop digital content and engagement strategies.  The Senior Director will play a leadership role within the Public Affairs department and will work closely with the leadership teams of Professional Education, Marketing, Business Affairs, and Media Relations in establishing and executing sound digital engagement and content strategies.

Senior Director of Quantitative Research, Center for Policy and Research

Position Summary:The Senior Director of Research coordinates multiple projects related to improving the quality and value of health care in the United States. Working under the general direction of Senior Vice President, Private Market Innovations and Director Center for Health Policy and Research, this individual will be responsible for conducting quantitative research on assigned projects.  This position requires training and experience in quantitative health discipline such as biostatistics/epidemiology, health services research, health economics including strong quantitative methods and data analysis skills.

The position analyzes health care data sets (primary and secondary data), independently develops study design, identifies and applies appropriate quantitative analytic methods, conducts and validates analyses, writes reports and issue briefs and contributes to manuscripts.   This position collaborates with and works closely with Research Directors, Research Associates, staff, and interns. Interacts with external project sponsors and collaborators, including government agencies, academic centers, advocacy organizations, and health care organizations.

Position Summary: Working under the direction of Senior Vice President, Private Market Innovations, the Senior Healthcare Analyst is responsible for working on efforts in the Clinical Affairs and Strategic Planning Department focused on performance measurement, health plan standards, as well as specific policy and regulatory issues pertaining to the Affordable Care Act with a special emphasis on quality. Vice President, Women's Health

Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President, Clinical Affairs and Strategic Partnerships, the Vice President, Women's Health has primary responsibility for strategies, and initiatives to showcase our industry’s efforts related to women's health. This includes a portfolio of programs such as reproductive health, cardiovascular care, metabolic disorders, cancer screening and other prevention and wellness services for women. The Vice President of Women's Health will conduct outreach and build relationships with key stakeholders in women's healthand will work across the AHIP team to provide leadership to coordinate advocacy and communications strategies on women's health.
