CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Your Source for Continued Learning.

The AHIP Center for Insurance Education and Professional Development offers courses that provide industry professionals with continuing education credits (CE). These courses may also qualify for college credits. In addition, 21 courses are approved by the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) for CCM clock hours, and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards grants credits for 19 courses.

General Information on CE Credits for Insurance Agents, Brokers, and Other License Holders
Most states require agents and brokers to take continuing education courses to maintain their licenses. Many of the Center’s courses are approved by state departments of insurance to meet those CE requirements.

Anytime a student needs information about the approval status of a course, it is best to call the continuing education department of agent licensing at the state's department of insurance. Each state handles approvals in a different manner, and while some grant approval in weeks, others may take up to nine months. The Center cannot speak for the various state departments of insurance.

CE credit hours can be changed at any time by a state. Proctor requirements can also change without notice. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure their proctor meets the requirements of the state(s) in which they are licensed.
