Healthcare Compliance ProfessionalTM
AHIP has created the Healthcare Compliance Professional (HCP) designation specifically for individuals who work to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and ensure that their companies meet the parameters of all of the new rules, regulations, and deadlines.
From market conduct reviews, MLR, and audits to setting up a compliance program, the educational activities leading up to earning the HCP designation will help you manage your job functions on a daily basis and plan for long-term ACA implementation. Acquire 18 credits within two years to initially gain the HCP; earn 9 additional credits every subsequent two year period to maintain the designation. Credits are obtained by any combination of the events below:
- Passing the courses listed above
- Participating in HCP webinars*
- Attending HCP conferences*

The HCP designation must be renewed every two years. Nine credits are required for renewal.

Building Your Compliance Capabilities

These 1 – 2 hour webinars are an opportunity to learn from your office about compliance issues as well as earn credits towards your designation. Click here for more information and to register.
Webinar registrants will receive a confirmation email after registration is completed. You will receive login instructions 24 hours prior to the webinar. Participants may login as early as 30 minutes prior to the start of the webinar. In order to be eligible to receive credit all participants must be logged in at the start of the webinar and must also enter in a participation code that will appear during the webinar.
AHIP will offer single and multi-day educational programs enabling you to earn a minimum of 5 credits for one activity. The educational programs will focus on compliance issues related to ACA as well as the broad business and operational issues for health insurance companies.
