What did you think about the Health Insurance, Advanced Studies Part A workshop?

“I was very impressed [with] the information I was provided. I learned a lot about healthcare reform and how it impacts not only commercial, but Medicare and Medicaid.”
Tom Buttine, Accenture

“I thought it was extremely informative, especially to me, who’s relatively new in the health care industry.”
Hannah Ordos, Sterling Life Insurance

“It was very, very informative and it was a lot of good quality information”
Charles Wang, Emblem Health Services

Has the workshop met your expectations?

“It has, maybe exceeded them, so I learned a lot more than I expected to, very comprehensive, so appreciate it.”
Tom Buttine, Accenture

“It exceeded them. I mean because of the new legislation and the impact it will have on the third-party payers, providers, consumers, and obviously the government.”
Ross Feezer, Home Health Insights

“Definitely.  I came in looking for something that was going to have me walk away, sort of having unraveled some of the health insurance industry sort of complexities and I feel much more clear on certain topics, more so than when I walked in this morning.”
Hannah Ordos, Sterling Life Insurance

This particular workshop, the Health Insurance, Advanced Studies workshop is also available as an online self-study course through the AHIP Center for Insurance Education and Professional Development. Would you recommend that your employees or coworkers take the online course? Why or why not?

“I would because I work in an area that’s a little bit more broad, so yeah, there’s definitely pieces that I would recommend that would be helpful. Because it is a little bit more broad, it is a little bit more high level, I think there’s some HR people that it would be helpful for.”
Summer Rudd, American General Life Companies

“Oh yes. I would say that would be very, very important and critical even though our company has actually created a position to really integrate the whole implementation throughout the different parts of the company, but I think giving the employees knowledge and information is still kind of a very confused and also information has not fully developed by Washington, so you get pieces here and there. So there’s going to be a lot of sorting out, interpretation, and passing through the whole system. So this would be very, very – again, helpful to us.“
Charles Wang, Emblem Health Services
