The Quality Interactions® clinical program aims to increase awareness and knowledge of racial and ethnic disparities in health care; and the importance of effective cross-cultural care. The programs also provide health care professionals with tools and skills to more effectively communicate with and deliver quality clinical and cross-cultural care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
Learning Objectives
Quality Interactions for Physicians (2.5 CME credits)This program features three patient cases and allows the clinician to participate in realistic clinical encounters (e.g. relating to hypertension, diabetes, and abdominal pain) while learning key concepts and skills for delivering effective cross-cultural care. The program also includes web links to clinical guidelines, references, and other relevant information. This evidence-based, case-based learning program is accredited by Tufts University School of Medicine for 2.5 hours Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits. The course is valid for credit until April 1, 2011.

Quality Interactions for Nurses & Case Managers (2.5 CEU/CCM credits)Similar to the physicians' version, this program allows the nurses and other health care professionals to interact with patients in realistic clinical settings to learn about providing effective cross-cultural care.This evidence-based, case-based learning program is accredited by Tufts University School of Medicine for 2.5 hours Continuing Education Units (CEU) and 2.5 hours Certified Case Managers (CCM) credit. The course is valid for credit until April 1, 2011
