Frequently Asked Questions

How many jobs will be made available through this partnership?
AHIP has initially asked member companies to provide 25 jobs to the job bank. As the partnership progresses, we hope to expand it further.

What kinds of jobs should I expect to find in the job bank?
Most jobs will not require insurance industry-specific knowledge or experience and will be clerical, customer service, administrative support, call-center operation and facilities support positions.

Are these positions permanent or temporary positions?
We have asked members to make permanent positions available for this effort, though some may have a few temporary positions to make available as well.

Will any of the jobs offered through this partnership include benefits such as health insurance?
Most of the positions being made available through the AHIP/Goodwill partnership will include health insurance and other benefits.

Where will the jobs be located?
AHIP is a national organization and has members participating in this effort all across the country.

Will relocation expenses be provided?
Although a limited number of companies may provide relocation expenses, most offers of employment will not include relocation funds. We are currently investigating other sources of assistance for relocation expenses.

Will there be nursing or other clinical positions available through this effort?
Health care authorities in the affected states have informed us that the region is currently suffering from a severe shortage of health care workers. In order to avoid exacerbating this serious situation, we are limiting the job bank to non-clinical positions.
