Off-label Use of Drugs: Improving Care or Unnecessary Expense?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has existing policies on off-label drug prescribing and marketing as part of their role in approving products that are safe and effective.  The speakers will examine the balance needed to spur medical innovation while ensuring safety. Health insurance plans will address the complexities of providing coverage for off-label use of drugs.
