Redefining Consumer-Centered Medicine

April 8, 2010
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET

Traditionally, the physician has been the driving force in medical treatment – with the doctor/patient relationship the critical link in defining and delivering optimum treatment. Now however, a wide range of innovations, ranging from vastly improved information technology to electronic storage and transmission of medical records to remote diagnostic techniques is empowering the consumer and improving physician/patient communication. Accenture’s groundbreaking research into new ways to collect, analyze, and act upon health-related information will help patients become more informed consumers of medical care and have increased access to individualized programs designed to attain and maintain health and wellness.
