There are thousands of interpretable health indicators for patients. Which signals are important and how do we make them useful? Health plans today struggle to meaningfully incorporate socio-behavioral determinants of health (SBDoH) to more effectively manage risk, match members to the right care, and design better networks. The speaker will discuss an approach for navigating the challenges of applying SBDoH to risk stratification and share results from a recent analysis applying SBDoH to member risk management. Tactically, participants will learn about the benefits of and how to implement a data quality index to improve utilization and reliability of SBDoH data and insights.
