WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 2, 2018 – Following the release of both the 2019 Medicare Advantage rate notice and call letter and the Medicare Advantage and Part D final rule, AHIP Chief Operating Officer and incoming Chief Executive Officer Matt Eyles issued the following statement:
AHIP commends CMS on enacting policies that overall will strengthen and improve Medicare Advantage for America’s seniors. By finalizing many of its innovative proposals, CMS has acknowledged the value of private sector solutions for Medicare enrollees.
Americans deserve access to quality, affordable and comprehensive health care that improves outcomes. That’s what Medicare Advantage delivers. That’s why 90 percent of Medicare Advantage enrollees are satisfied with their plan, and year-over-year enrollment continues to grow.
We appreciate CMS’ commitment to America’s seniors, and its willingness to work with stakeholders to find additional ways to simplify and transform the Medicare Advantage and Part D programs. We look forward to working closely with the Administration to continue to offer our nation’s seniors better services, better care, and better value.
