For Immediate Release
Washington, D.C. — While we are still assessing the final rate notice released by CMS today, below is a statement from AHIP President and CEO Karen Ignagni on 2016 Medicare Advantage payment rates:
“The final rate notice took a notable step to provide stable funding for the Medicare Advantage program. However, the lack of action to address policy concerns around providing care for the chronically ill and vulnerable populations could undermine health plans’ efforts to address the needs of these beneficiaries.
“Millions of seniors across the country have made their voices heard in Washington, and more than 340 members of Congress have stood in support of Medicare Advantage. We will continue to work with policymakers in both parties to ensure beneficiaries continue to benefit from the critical care and services that the program provides.”
