The conference will take place at the Ritz-Carlton, 1150 22nd Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20037. It is co-located with the National Conference on the individual and Small-Group Markets, March 9-10.

Are there discounted room rates and at what hotel(s)?

While the rooms within AHIP’s discounted room block at the Ritz-Carlton are currently sold out, you may consider checking other nearby hotels. Please see the website for some alternatives. (Please note AHIP does not have contracted group rates with these hotels.)

Where can I find travel information?

The Washington, DC convention and visitor bureau website provides helpful information about transportation to and from DC. In addition, the conference hotel will provide additional details once you arrive.

What kind of accessibility arrangements are available?

REGISTRATION

What is included in my conference registration?

If you are registered for both the National Health Policy Conference and the National Conference on the Individual & Small-Group Markets, from Wednesday, March 8, at 7:45 am until Friday, March 10, at 12:15 pm, you may access all sessions, access the Display Area, and attend networking events as part of your registration.

If you are registered only for the National Health Policy Conference, from Wednesday, March 8, at 7:45 am until Thursday, March 9, at Noon, you may access all sessions, access the Display Area, and attend networking events as part of your registration. If you would like to attend any sessions of the National Conference on the Individual and Small-Group Markets, you must modify your registration.

If you are registered only for the National Conference on the Individual and Small-Group Markets, from Thursday, March 9, at 1:15 pm until Friday, March 10, at 12:15 pm, you may access all sessions, access the Display Area, and attend networking events as part of your registration. If you would like to attend any sessions of the National Health Policy Conference, you must modify your registration.

Badges will be checked at the door to each session. Please check your badge to make sure you are registered for the conference you want to attend. If you have a question about your registration, please reach out to us at AHIPregistration@conferencedirect.com.

Please note that registrations do not include transportation to/from the conference, hotel accommodations or meals / refreshments not listed in the conferences’ agendas.

What does it mean when you say that the conferences are co-located?

To help you try to maximize your time out of the office, we are holding the two conferences, one right after the other, in the same location. We’d like for you to be able to attend as many of the sessions and networking events as possible, but you must be registered for a particular conference to attend its’ sessions. (Badges will be checked at the doors.) Please review the agendas for the National Health Policy Conference and for the National Conference on the Individual and Small-Group Markets and check your registration to make sure you are registered to attend the conference(s) with the sessions you want.

If I don’t register before the early registration deadline, are there still discounts available?

AHIP members receive discounted pricing, even after early registration ends. In addition, we offer team discounts for health plan members and a discount for young professionals in the industry (must show valid ID onsite). May I still register if I’m not an AHIP member?

Yes. As many stakeholders work together to transform health care, we encourage health care professionals not with AHIP member health plans and insurers to attend. You will find non-member pricing options on the conference website registration page.

How can I get a payment receipt for the conference?

Following your online registration, you will receive an email with registration and payment details. If you’ve already registered and need a copy of your payment information, simply contact us at AHIPregistration@conferencedirect.com.

How do I modify my registration?

Every registration website has an option on the landing page to “Modify Registration.” Simply log in using your email address and confirmation number and update any necessary information. If you forget your confirmation number, please reach out to us at AHIPregistration@conferencedirect.com.

What if I’m unable to attend unexpectedly?

AT THE CONFERENCE

When and where may I pick up my badge and conference materials?

The Registration and Information Desk for both conferences is located on the Ballroom Level in the Ritz Carlton Ballroom Foyer.

You may pick up your badge during the following dates/times:

Tuesday, March 7 | 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm *Avoid the lines Wednesday morning! Pick up your badge Tuesday afternoon so you can hit the ground running on Wednesday and not miss a single session.

Wednesday, March 8 | 6:45 am – 5:15 pm

Thursday, March 9 | 7:15 am – 5:35 pm

Friday, March 10 | 7:30 am – 12:15 pm

• Note: Conference badges are required to attend all conference events. Badges will be checked at the door to each session. Please check your badge to make sure you are registered for the conference you want to attend.
• If you lose your badge, you may obtain a replacement badge at the Registration and Information Desk
• Note: AHIP requires that all conference attendees show a valid government issued photo ID to pick up their badges.

Will a conference agenda be handed out at the conference?

We encourage you to print an agenda from the website prior to attending the conference. On the conference website / agenda page, you will see an option to view / print a pdf in the top right portion of your screen.

Will I receive copies of the presentation materials?

Presentations for the conference(s) for which you’ve registered will be made available after the events via an emailed link. Please note that some speakers choose not to make their presentations available, or to modify them slightly.

When should I plan to arrive/leave?

The National Health Policy Conference starts Wednesday, March 8 at 7:45 am so we suggest you arrive the afternoon or evening before to attend the full program.  We also strongly encourage you to pick up your badge Tuesday afternoon so you can hit the ground running on Wednesday and not miss a single session. The last session for the National Health Policy Conference ends Thursday, March 9 at Noon. Please be sure to join us for the final session, as it’s always a powerful close to the program.

The National Conference on the Individual and Small-Group Markets starts Thursday, March 9 at 1:15 pm so we suggest you arrive by Thursday morning to attend the full program. The last session for the National Conference on the Individual and Small-Group Markets ends Friday, March 10 at 12:15 pm.  We encourage you to join us for the final session, as it’s focused on staying connected to consumers during a time of change.
