Behavioral Health and Physical Comorbidities

While mental health describes an individual’s state of being, behavioral health examines how behaviors impact that state of being. Behavioral health is complex and made up of various areas, such as mental health and substance use, and encompasses a variety of prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services. Although mental health is a crucial component of behavioral health, it’s important to note that behavioral health topics are not solely categorized as mental health and the link between the two may vary case to case.
