CMS Administrator Seema Verma To Speak At AHIP Medicare Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Sept. 24, Seema Verma, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), will deliver a keynote address at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) 2019 National Conference on Medicare. This event is part of AHIP’s annual conferences on Medicare, Medicaid, and Dual Eligibles which will be held in Washington, D.C. from Sept. 23-26.

During her presentation, Administrator Verma will discuss improving Medicare in 2020 and beyond, including the growing role of technology and patient engagement as the program enters its 55th year. She will outline the Administration’s priorities to expand patient choice, deliver more transparency to consumers, lower health care costs, and strengthen Medicare Advantage.

In addition to Administrator Verma, the three national conferences will feature a wide range of industry leaders and policymakers, including:
