      Currently, 20% of U.S. deaths are attributed to tobacco, alcohol and other drugs, and illicit substance use and addiction are currently two of the largest preventable causes of death. This session will explore what COVID has taught us about the accelerating substance use disorder epidemic, the social and economic factors that contribute to substance use disorder, and how health insurance providers can assist their employer clients with innovative addiction treatment resources.
