,States are increasingly recognizing the ability of pharmacists to improve access to services like point-of-care testing, access to needed medications such as pre-and post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV and hormonal contraceptives, management of complex medication regimens, and smoking cessation services. In rural and underserved communities, pharmacists may be the only accessible healthcare provider. This session highlights the importance of reimbursing for pharmacist services and how FEHB Carriers reimburse for pharmacist services in accordance with state law.
