AHIP’s Disability Income Fellow (DIF) is AHIP’s most advanced disability income (DI) designation. By earning this title, you signify a complete commitment to your career and your organization, while representing your expertise to colleagues.

Earning this designation will help you fully understand DI programs, including DI planning under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the American Taxpayer’s Relief Act of 2012. You will learn how disability income insurance fits into retirement, estate, and long-term care planning. You will become familiar with person and business DI programs, take a closer look at special risk situations in common personal and business programs, and much more.

To acquire the DIF designation, you must pass three mandatory online courses and two elective online courses.
