Antidote for Rising Care Costs:
Creating Lasting Behavior Change

  • September 17, 2021

  • Online

The health of your members is your most important asset. But the healthy choice isn’t always the easy choice and behavior change is difficult. People are over-optimistic, discounting long-term effects of lifestyle choices made today for immediate gratification. The antidote is the right incentives, built on behavioral economics, clinical pathways, and funded through actuarial savings. For two decades, Vitality Group has made people healthier, integrating our program into global insurers.

Member engagement is an ongoing struggle for insurance providers. What carrot is needed to motivate members to proactively manage their health and change their behaviors? What programs compel them to address chronic conditions?

This webinar will distill what behavioral economics has taught us about human behavior; share best practices for program design using incentives to engage and change behavior; and discuss strategies for long-term, sustainable health promotion.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Strategies for engagement and shaping lasting behavior change
  • How to construct a program that addresses chronic conditions successfully
  • How to reduce claims and hospital admissions even during COVID
  • Best practices for engagement that result in positive, sustainable health outcomes
