Benefits of Prior Authorization Transparency
and Automation

  • November 29, 2021
  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET
  • Online

The administration of prior authorization processes creates billions in costs for both health care providers and health insurance providers. This is due to the cumbersome manual processes involved in most current iterations of a prior authorization process. Implementing increased health care provider transparency to prior authorization requirements as well as digital processing tools reduces administrative time and can save millions.

A Blue Cross health insurance provider and a representative of Mayo Clinic will share their experiences implementing and using a digital transparency solution offered by the health insurance provider and the impact on their processes and costs.

Attendees will learn about:

  • What attributes to consider when considering a transparency solution
  • Key steps in preparing to implement a transparency solution
  • Steps in the implementation process
  • The positive effects of transparency: financially, for employees, and for patients
