Blueprint for Success: Overcoming COVID-19 Regulatory Challenges

  • June 01, 2021
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET
  • Online

The last couple years have brought with them numerous political and legal challenges for both those who sponsor and those who administer health benefit plans; from carriers to employers, brokers to third party administrators. Likewise, these and other industry players find themselves disagreeing when it comes to addressing both new issues and old ones that have been cast in a new light, in part due to changes in law and regulation.  We suspect these matters will be impacting the industry for the foreseeable future, and thus it is incumbent upon us to find solutions.

We will discuss:

  • Which rules from 2020 survived the change in administration?
  • What legal battles are ongoing, and will the outcomes matter to me?
  • Who has been appointed to positions of influence, and what do their track records mean for our industry?
  • What patterns and conflicts emerged in the past, and how do we avoid them in the future?
  • Are there any new laws, rules, or regulations I need to know about, and for which I need to be planning now?

Attendees will learn about:

  • New rules, laws, and regulations with which they must comply (and how to do so)
  • Executive orders and appointments that have occurred with the new administration, and what it means for benefit plans.
  • Issues and conflicts that have hindered operations and how to avoid them.
