about

Lack of interoperability inhibiting the free flow of information across the Health system has been a long-standing industry problem.  As part of its 2021 requirements CMS has mandated compliance to Patient Access, Provider Directory & Admission Discharge and Transfer Event Notifications.  As a result, the health insurance provider market is inundated with platform providers claiming a silver bullet for achieving FHIR compliance.  Patient-matching in real world setting, varying medical taxonomy, co-existence of structured & unstructured data, and lack of standards pose a significant challenge in meeting the deadline.  Some of the FHIR scenarios pose challenges around security,  authorization and handling of sensitive data.

That said, an increasingly Interoperable world will enable AI Avatars, advanced analytics, and real-time decision making towards enhanced care coordination, competitive benefit design, responsive care gap closure, and eventually highly sensitive risk stratification.  The Webinar discusses these issues, provide approaches to making homegrown and standard databases FHIR compliant and micro-serviceable, and ultimately drive data transformation inside out.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Solving practical issues in implementing FHIR 2021 Mandate
  • Leveraging interoperability to break barriers &  improve care outcomes
  • Using the power of interoperability to unleash the Payor AI Avatar
