The COVID-19 public health crisis put the spotlight on being able to connect with individuals outside of the traditional health care setting like never before. In a matter of weeks, plans were forced to drastically shift their approach and aggressively begin promoting digital health as the preferred and primary form of engagement as much as possible to support things like condition management and medication adherence. This included widespread adoption of telehealth, automated calls (IDV), and health and well-being apps.
This conversation will take a detailed look at what digital health tools plans were offering at the start of this crisis compared to what is being offered today. Experts will weigh in on which resources members are seeing the most benefit out and what technology and tools plans should invest in as the face of health care changes in the COVID world. They will also discuss how plans can move beyond rapid response to member retention and activation to accommodate changing consumer expectations and ensure success for the rest of this year and into 2021.
