Health Care Collaboration: Progress Made in 2018

In 2018, the pace of change in American health care felt almost unprecedented. Drug pricing made headlines, the market continued to shift towards value-based care, patients sought ways to get the most out of their health care dollar, and legislators and regulators displayed extraordinary levels of activity and involvement. These changes have complicated decision-making at the point of care and heightened the need for collaboration among pharmacists, physicians, health insurance providers, and patients.

As the results show, the Surescripts Network Alliance™ rose to the challenge by forging stronger connections, deploying new innovations, and exchanging an unprecedented volume of actionable intelligence. In this webinar, we will review the progress made in 2018 and hear how different parts of the health care ecosystem moved towards enhancing prescribing, informing care decisions, and advancing health care.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Highlights from the 2018 National Progress Report including:
    • The rise in E-Prescribing Controlled Substances (EPCS), an essential tool in combatting the opioid epidemic
    • Momentum made towards prescription price transparency with tools such as Real-Time Prescription Benefit
    • Delivering more patient insights to critical points in care
  • Gain insights from Rick Klinenberg, Sr. Director at Express Scripts and Andrew Mellin, MD, VP Medical Informatics Physician, Product Innovation Executive at Surescripts on how they are enhancing prescribing, informing care decisions, and advancing health care.
