There is no other time as now to focus on achieving higher STAR Rating on HEDIS. As many as one- third of Medicare Enrollees choose Medicare Advantage driving payors to quickly capture sizable market share. This also means that payors have to be nimble and demonstrate value differentiators to members, providers for continued increase in member enrollment and retention. One of the ways to attract Medicare Advantage members is to drive the HEDIS star rating. Increase in STAR rating from 3.5 to 4 could mean additional benefits through rebates, and bonus that can quickly scale revenues. A 4+star rating can increase enrollees to the plan as the rating would indicate a plan’s ability to perform well in the five focus areas of care and customer service that drive HEDIS rating. Additionally, a 5 STAR rating would enable plans to enroll members year around allowing more members to switch. However, HEDIS metric collection and reporting continues to be a complex process despite the use of tools and technology. To achieve an improved HEDIS STAR rating requires us to understand in depth current process and data challenges to enhance data collection accuracy and efficiency and enable providers with right tools to share the data in a timely manner.
The webinar will provide an overview of various common process and data challenge amongst payors and area of opportunities to enable providers and payors to comply with accurate data collection using text mining and intelligent automation.
