The COVID-19 pandemic has had both short and long-term implications on consumer behaviors like nutrition and self care. The ability to engage in new ways digitally will be critical for health insurance providers and employers alike. As more consumers are eating at home and facing financial distress, the interest in support around meal planning, dietary recommendations, and more has spiked.

During this webinar attendees will hear how Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP) leveraged its existing well-being platform to connect digitally with members during COVID-19. Digital health partners Foodsmart and Welltok will join the conversation, offering insight on national trends regarding engagement and how virtual support can contribute to the increased focus on addressing social barriers to health as a result of COVID-19.

Teresa Johnson
Senior Vice President, Consumer Experience Solutions

Teresa Johnson joined CDPHP in 1999 and currently serves as senior vice president of consumer experience solutions. She plays a lead role in the development and execution of the consumer engagement strategy, which includes direct responsibility for areas such as product innovation; marketing informatics and research; employer, community, and consumer engagement; sales and marketing technology solutions; and eligibility and enrollment functions. Throughout her tenure, Teresa has held various management positions in the sales, marketing, and corporate administration divisions.

Teresa holds a Master of Science in organization management from Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY, and a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management from Siena College in Loudonville, NY.

Jennifer Regan, MBA
Director, Consumer Engagement
Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP)

Jennifer Regan joined CDPHP in 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Consumer Engagement. In this role, she leads the team responsible for developing, promoting, refining, and analyzing a wide array of health and wellness programs for current and prospective members. Prior to joining CDPHP, Jennifer was the Executive Director of Community Engagement, Workforce Development, and Communications at Adirondack Health Institute, where she was responsible for quality and financial outcomes for a population health network.

Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.

Jason Langheier, MD, MPH
CEO & Founder

Jason Langheier, MD, MPH, is the CEO & Founder of Foodsmart (formerly Zipongo), which provides its Foodsmart, Telenutrition, Foodsecure and Foodscripts disease reversal programs to thousands of employers and 5 of the 7 largest health plans in the US.  Dr. Jay previously launched Boston Medical Center’s Nutrition and Fitness for Life pediatric obesity program, founded Fitness Forward and the Coach K Drive 2 Fitness health education program for low-income elementary-aged kids and was the Co-Founder and CTO of Proventys, that developed personalized cancer decision support, and is now part of US Oncology and McKesson.

He studied medical school, biostatistics, and clinical research at DukeMed, Harvard, and UCSF respectively, following neuroscience research at Williams College, Cambridge, Duke, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is also currently a Board Director for the Partnership for a Healthier America, founded by Michelle Obama.

Erica Morgenstern
Chief Communications Officer

Erica has a proven track record of executing effective and creative communications programs for private and public companies that increases awareness and stimulates action. She specializes in guiding companies through the critical start-up to high-growth phase with funding, merger and acquisition and IPO activity.

Prior to Welltok, Erica led communications and investor relations for Epocrates, a medical app company used by half of the physicians in U.S. Erica played an integral role in taking Epocrates public and the subsequent acquisition by athenahealth. Earlier in her career at Manning, Selvage and Lee (a Publicis Group subsidiary), she drove awareness for international clients including Pfizer, Biogen and Philips Medical Systems.
