Jasen Gundersen, MD, MBA
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jasen Gundersen brings more than 20 years of health care experience to CareCentrix including clinical and leadership positions in a wide variety of settings. As the Chief Medical Officer, he is responsible for clinical operations and provides guidance on strategies and products to meet the company’s mission of making the home the center of patient care.

Dr. Gundersen comes to us from TeamHealth, where he most recently held the role of President, Hospitalist and Post-Acute Services. At TeamHealth, Dr. Gundersen led a wide variety of service lines including hospital medicine, specialty hospitalists and the nation’s largest post-acute care program. Prior to TeamHealth, he served in wide variety of clinical and leadership positions at UMass Memorial Healthcare where he was Clinical Associate Professor at the UMass Medical School.

Dr. Gundersen earned his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, did his Family Medicine residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center; and completed the University of Tennessee Physician MBA program.


Steve Wogen

Steve Wogen brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership to CareCentrix. As Chief Growth Officer, he is responsible for growth strategy and medical economics. Steve comes to CareCentrix from Express Scripts, formerly Medco Health Solutions, where he was the SVP/GM for Prescription Drug Plan and Retiree Solutions, and led the integration of the companies’ retiree business lines. Previously, Steve was Regional Director of Medical Economics at Cigna.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and medical ethics from Davidson College (North Carolina), and a Master’s in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond. He has published and presented his work on electronic prescribing, the value of pharmaceuticals in care management, Medicare Part D and efficiency in healthcare delivery.

Prior to joining CareCentrix, Chris built American Well’s (now Amwell: NYSE AMWL) population health offering and national specialist network, launched the first-ever direct-to-consumer telehealth app, Amwell, and built Amwell’s b2b and consumer marketing infrastructure. Chris also served as Chief Marketing Officer of Twine Health, acquired by Fitbit in 2017.
