The Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program Carrier Conference will be held on March 28-29, 2019 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View in Arlington, VA.  The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will address program-wide issues as well as special interest to all types (experience-rated and community-rated) plans in the FEHB program.

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Innovation in Plan Design and Benefit Management to Support the Voice of the Customer

This session will highlight innovation in plan design, benefit management and healthcare delivery

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Automated Data Collection (ADC): Sharing of ADC Results

This session will provide an overview of program-wide results from the 2018 ADC, as well as a summary of feedback from the ADC Carrier Experience Survey

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Lunch

1:00 p.m. –2:30 p.m.   Genetic Testing and Counseling

This session will highlight key aspects of genetic testing, tactics health plans can employ to manage genetic testing benefits along with genetic counseling and provide insight into advances on the horizon

2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.  Enhancing the Enrollee Experience

Highlighting OPM initiatives and pertinent updates for FEHB Carriers with a focus on the enrollee experience

In collaboration with CDC, focus on population health and patient safety through tobacco cessation efforts and antibiotic stewardship

This session reports out early trend data from the first three years’ of the Plan Performance Assessment, including early insights. Several FEHB Plans will also discuss their Plan’s approach to the quality improvement cycle and the plan-wide commitment that leads to their success

The most common audit findings and carrier best practices for preventing and responding to them

This session will provide an overview of the challenges presented by the partial government shutdown, a summary of lessons learned, and how OPM and Carriers can use this experience to improve the Program

Hotel Rates:

Single or double occupancy: $264.00 plus 13.25% tax. This rate is available until Wednesday, March 6, 2019 or when the room block has sold out (whichever comes first).

Rooms at this rate are being held for arrival on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 and departure on Friday, March 29, 2019. Space is limited.  Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Deposit and Cancellations
Hotel reservations must be guaranteed by a valid major credit card that must be supplied at the time of reservation for the first and last night’s room and tax. Cancellations will be accepted by the hotel up to 21 days in advance of guest’s arrival without penalty.  Cancellation made 13 days and less prior to arrival will result in forfeit of first and last night’s deposit.
