The CMS Transparency in Coverage Final Rule was finalized in November 2020, requiring health insurance providers to disclose detailed pricing and cost-sharing information. There are three major milestones included in the mandate, and many health insurance providers are challenged with understanding the regulations and finding a practical approach for achieving compliance leading up to the first deadline of January 1, 2022.
