However, just like with all partnerships there are challenges and pitfalls to navigate. You may recall, JayZ and Beyonce have had their share of public partnership battles. The same is true for developing and sustaining technology platform partnerships. Surviving the challenges and pitfalls of avoiding IP infringement, collaborating on market strategies, insuring technology roadmap alignment, melding team cultures, etc are key to success.

Michelle E. Billingsley, Senior Vice President, Chief Delivery Officer, Visiant Health
Michelle Billingsley is senior vice president, chief delivery officer leading Visiant’s strategic technology initiatives, including NextGen.
In her role, Billingsley provides strategic direction and program oversight for delivery of Visiant’s future state technology platform supporting the organization’s plans for growth and increased customer value.
Prior to joining Visiant Health, Michelle most recently held post of Vice President, Chief Information Officer for Blue Care Network where she led information technology operations and solution delivery to meet the dynamic business needs of Michigan’s largest HMO. Billingsley also spent 12 years within the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan organization in various IT executive and leadership roles where she led strategic programs and projects, including operating platform implementations and migrations, ACA marketplace integration, pharmacy/medical management solution optimization, HIPAA compliance initiatives, data warehousing, data analytics, and enterprise data strategy and governance.
In addition to over twenty years of experience within healthcare information technology, Billingsley has IT experience in consulting, higher education, and manufacturing distribution. She earned her bachelor’s degree in computer science from Western Michigan University and completed her Masters of Education in instructional technology at Wayne State University.
Michelle cultivates and shares her IT leadership experiences through participation in local and national organizations such as Leadership Detroit, IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), and Evanta Detroit CIO/CDO Governing Board. In 2016, Michelle was awarded Executive of the Year by National Management Association.
A proud native Detroiter, Billingsley supports the Southeastern Michigan community serving on philanthropic boards including Thrivent Financial Great Lakes Region Member Board (Chairperson) and Michigan Council for Women in Technology.
Billingsley enjoys being a mentor for emerging leaders, as well as a champion for encouraging girls and women to pursue careers in STEM.
