about

Health plans are under strict federal and state scrutiny related to the accuracy of practitioner information maintained and published to consumers. The cost of inaccurate or missing information comes in the form of fines, member dissatisfaction and poor ratings. Maintaining this information is a complex task – requiring the ability to pull from many sources many times. It also means needing to tax practitioners with an additional administrative burden – attesting to their information for every health plan in which they participate.

How will the webinar address the issue:

The AMA and LexisNexis have formed a strategic collaboration to address industry mandates to improve the quality of network directories. This collaboration brings together the health plan, practitioner and patient perspective. Together they will:

  1. Provide an update on where states/health plans are with meeting the mandate
  2. Uncover what the industry has learned almost a year after CMS issued regulation
  3. Explore how the right data and analytics coupled with the appropriate clinician outreach strategy can prove to increase efficiencies and outcomes

What will attendees gain by participating:

  • How to:
    • Simplify the data update process and leverage the “gold-standard” in clinician information for more than provider directories.
    • Empower practice staff to proactively and efficiently update clinician data allowing more time to be redirected to patient care.
    • Ensure compliance, positive relationships with their networks and improved treatment experiences for patients.

Who should attend this webinar:  Health plans and practitioners
