Executive Leadership Summit FAQs

What requirements will participants need to meet to participate in AHIP’s Executive Leadership Summit?

Due to the exclusive nature of this event, AHIP will require all attendees to provide proof they are fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC in addition to submitting a negative PCR or NAAT (rapid molecular) test that is taken within 72 hours prior to arrival to attend the Executive Leadership Summit. AHIP will also make rapid tests available on site for those participants who need them.

Attendees will be able to submit proof of vaccination and negative PCR test through the CLEAR Health Pass, a free mobile experience on the CLEAR app.  More details will be shared in the coming days.

What defines fully vaccinated to participate in ELS?

Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control as 2 weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

How do I verify my COVID-19 vaccination to attend the Executive Leadership Summit?

Attendees will be able to submit proof of vaccination and negative PCR or NAAT test through the CLEAR Health Pass, a free mobile experience on the CLEAR app. More details will be shared in the coming days.

Will I also need to provide proof of a COVID-19 booster shot to attend ELS?

No. Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as 2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

While not currently part of the CDC recommendations, AHIP encourages you to get a booster dose to further strengthen your protection against COVID-19.

If the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updates their definition of “fully vaccinated” to include booster shots, will you change your definition of “fully vaccinated”?

No. We will continue to define fully vaccinated as 2 weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

While not currently part of the CDC recommendations, AHIP encourages you to get a booster dose to further strengthen your protection against COVID-19.

Can I attend with proof of a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination against COVID-19?

No. A negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted as a substitution for being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Will exceptions to proof of COVID-19 vaccine and proof of negative PCR or NAAT (rapid molecular) COVID-19 test be accepted?

No. There will not be exceptions. Those who cannot comply with the vaccine and negative COVID-19 test requirement are not permitted to attend.

Can I request a refund if I am not vaccinated against COVID-19, and haven’t received a negative PCR or NAAT (rapid molecular) COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival?

No refunds will be issued. However, AHIP will allow substitutions and issue conference registration credits to attend any future event.  Email:  Registrations@AHIP.org to request a substitution or credit towards future event.

Can spouses and guests participate in the Networking Reception?

Yes, spouses and guests may participate in the Networking Reception on Thursday, January 27th.  Please be advised that your spouse/guest will need to register as an attendee through AHIP registration site and submit proof of vaccination and negative PCR or NAAT test through the CLEAR Health Pass, a free mobile experience on the CLEAR app.

Are masks required at ELS?

Yes. Masks are required for everyone at ELS. A mask is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric used to completely cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face. Attendees may provide their own mask that complies with this guidance, or use a mask provided by AHIP. Face shields, bandannas, and masks with ventilation will not be allowed. Masks may be removed while eating and drinking.

Will food and beverages still be offered?

Yes. Conference meals will be offered. We will follow all local and venue guidelines for service.

What health protocols are in place at the conference hotel?

All Arizona Biltmore sleeping room hotels are following the Hilton CleanStay guidelines. For more information, see Hilton CleanStay protocols.

Will I be required to maintain 6-foot (2 meter) distancing from other attendees at ELS?

No. You will not be required to maintain 6-foot (2 meter) distancing during the event; however, most spaces are designed to allow attendees the option to physically distance.

What happens if someone tests positive for COVID-19 during or following ELS?
