Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Project Associate is responsible for providing day-to-day operational and administrative support of projects undertaken by the Insurance Education Department.  This position will provide support through, but not limited to, copy editing, content management, and conversion of text-based courses into online formats using course production software selected by the Insurance Education Department to complement its Learning Management System. This position will also work closely with the Operations Director to ensure customer support inquiries are being managed as needed.  Performance and work-style for this position encourages a team-like atmosphere while maintaining individual performance standards and effectiveness.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Development of tools and materials to showcase the Insurance Education Department online courses for marketing and trade show initiatives
  • Help with managing the CE and CLE credits for the Insurance Education Department
  • Assist in managing customer support inquiries and the department’s service vendor, as needed
  • Provides editorial analysis and recommendations when working with IED’s internal and external SMEs, as needed
  • Responsible for formatting and organizing content as provided by the SME
  • Responsible for assisting in converting traditional text courses into online formats, choosing/creating artwork, and for working in software to promote interactivity within the eLearning materials.
  • Assist with tracking statuses of projects and various departmental resources, including contractual agreements from initial draft to final execution
  • Act as liaison between Marketing Department and Insurance Education Department. Duties would include providing metrics on sales, assisting in marketing planning, and creating content for advertisements to boost sales.
  • Other assigned duties as assigned by the Operations Director

Supervisory Responsibility:  No supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and willingness to solve problems effectively
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent project management skills, including the ability to meet tight or changing deadlines
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service, verbal, and written communication experience
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office operating system, including proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, minimum 2 years’ experience and ability to create comprehensive tables, formulaic equations, and graphs
  • Familiarity with course authoring software(s), a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; waived for equivalent work experience

Physical Work Activities & Conditions:

  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day.
  • Keyboard use of greater or equal to 85% of the workday.

  • None
