AHIP congratulates Karen S. Lynch, CEO at CVS Health, and Gail Boudreaux, President and CEO of Anthem, on being named to Fortune’s 2021 Most Powerful Women in Business. This list reflects a growing and diverse list of women as leaders at some of the country’s most powerful companies. Ms. Lynch claimed the distinguished honor of first spot on the list.
“Every American deserves access to affordable, high-quality health coverage, and health insurance providers are delivering for them,” said Matt Eyles, AHIP President and CEO. “This recognition reflects Karen and Gail’s strong leadership and tireless efforts to find new and innovative ways to improve the health and financial stability of the people and communities they serve.”
As noted in the accompanying article, Lynch “guided CVS through its essential role administering COVID-19 tests and vaccines” and “has a bold new plan for transforming CVS into ‘a new front door for health care access,’ by converting hundreds of locations from retail to providers of primary care.”
