Social determinants of health are more than just a catch phrase. Social and economic factors such as access to healthy food, safe housing, and steady employment can account for as much as 80% of health outcomes.

Medicaid plans, like those offered by UPMC Health Plan, provide health coverage to some of our most vulnerable populations, and are at the forefront when it comes to finding ways to address the conditions that influence a person’s whole health.
