Brittany Vallejo, DNP, MSN

Brittany Vallejo, DNP, MSN, serves as the current Associate Director for United HealthCare’s STARs National Program where she operationalizes the national breast cancer and colorectal screening program outreach, strategy, and performance. She has authored assisted in authoring two books on healthcare law and ethics and essential of healthcare policy and published a peer-reviewed journal for breast cancer screening which won a 2021 CU Clinical Innovation’s Award.

As a prior active-duty Air Force spouse she served as a vocal advocate within the community and nationally being interviewed and published by national news and military news outlets about military life, educating about government shutdowns, educating about Airmen needs and the needs of families, and partitioning to members of Congress for increased medical benefits for military families most notably children with special needs, and operationalized the Recovery Care Program to serve wounded warriors. Dr. Vallejo is passionate in developing research, strategy and operationalizing programs that address health equity and disparity needs.
