Dr. Chris Mosher is an Instructor in Medicine in the Duke Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine and the Duke Clinical Research Institute. He cares for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the clinic and medical intensive care unit. The primary focus of Dr. Mosher’s research is to identify new therapies and strategies to improve outcomes in patients with COPD. To accomplish this goal, his research expertise is centered in pulmonary rehabilitation. Recent work by Dr. Mosher and colleagues published in JAMA suggests that pulmonary rehabilitation after COPD hospitalization in older American adults results in improvement in quality-adjusted life expectancy and net cost savings.
