Elizabeth Malko, MD, MEng, FAAFP

Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, Florida Blue Medicare

Dr. Elizabeth Malko is Florida Blue’s Vice President & Chief Medical Officer for Medicare Solutions. In this role, Dr. Malko and her team are responsible for delivering innovative and successful Government Pharmacy Programs, Special Medicare and Medicaid Needs Plans and Medicare Quality and STARS Programs. Additionally, she and her team ensure members receive evidence based medicine and coordinated care and are responsible for creating and managing provider engagement in population health.

With more than 20 years of managed care experience, Dr. Malko has extensive management experience in the for-profit and not-for-profit payor settings, including leadership of engineers, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrative, and managed care staff. Dr. Malko was formerly the Executive Vice President/ Chief Medical Officer at MVP Health Care. And as Executive VP for Clinical Transformation and Operations at Evolent Health in Arlington, Virginia, she led a staff of more than 350 associates in clinical transformation and innovation, clinical operations, quality, and clinical strategy and relationships.

Previously, Dr. Malko served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer for Fallon Community Health Plan in Worcester, Massachusetts, Regional Medical Director for WellPoint Inc.’s state-sponsored business, and Lead Medical Director for Anthem BCBS in New Hampshire and Connecticut.

Malko received a B.S. in Biology, and Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her M.D. was awarded by the University of Connecticut, she was Board Certified in Family Practice, and is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.
