Dr. James A. Polo, MD is the Executive Medical Director for Carelon. He is board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with over 30 years of experience as an actively practicing physician in multiple treatment settings. He also has advanced degrees in both business and strategy. Dr. Polo has served in numerous executive leadership positions for hospitals and healthcare systems working to advance quality outcomes within a sustainable business model. He has been consultant in the private sector and policy advisor at the national level. Currently, he serves as a board member for numerous private, professional, and corporate organizations.
