Jason Grau, PhD

Dr. Jason Grau, a Vice President and Partner in Optum Advisory Services' Strategy and Growth consulting practice, has more than 20 years of expertise in health care, with an accomplished track record across functional areas in payer operations and Payer-provider-vendor cooperation models.
Prior to joining Optum, Dr. Grau served as a Senior Vice President at Navvis. He was previously a Senior Vice President at Conduent, a Vice President of Enterprise Strategy, Business Integration, and Analytics at a Blue Cross plan, and an Associate Partner at Oliver Wyman. Dr. Grau has also worked for the Boston Consulting Group and the BlueCross BlueShield Association's Strategic Services group.
Dr. Grau holds a PhD in Materials Sciences and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, where he also studied within the Sloan School of Management. Dr. Grau received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Iowa.
