Dr. Sobel oversees Cigna’s Medicare clinical functions, including medical policy, behavioral health solutions, quality, and innovative strategies to support customer health and wellbeing. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and previously was the CMO of senior products at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. He also held senior medical director roles at Aetna’s Coventry Health Care of Georgia and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s BlueChoice HealthPlan.
Dr. Sobel is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Memberships include: American Association of Physician Leadership (vanguard member); Tennessee Medical Association; American Medical Association.
