Lisa Watkins
Health Policy Director, Elevance Health
Lisa Watkins is a Health Policy Director at Elevance Health. In this role, she leads the development and execution of Anthem’s public policy agenda, focusing on federal policy strategies related to advancing health equity, addressing health-related social needs, and improving care for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
Prior to joining Elevance Health, Lisa served as the Director of Low-Income Programs Analysis Group within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of Legislation, and as a Senior Advisor to the CMS Chief of Staff & Chief Operating Officer, where she worked to improve care delivery and financing for individuals eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, and/or the Exchanges. She has also served as Professional Staff on the Committee on Ways and Means, Health Subcommittee, and in additional roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including as a Policy Coordinator in the Immediate Office of the Secretary.
Lisa has a law degree (JD) from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree with a focus on English, Spanish, and Latin American Studies from Haverford College.
