Dr. Loren Clarke is a board-certified Pathologist and Dermatopathologist with expertise in clinical dermatopathology, tumor biology, and molecular diagnostics. In 2021, Dr. Clarke was appointed Chief Medical Officer at DermTech, Inc. overseeing clinical and medical matters pertaining to the company’s noninvasive platform for genomic analyses of cutaneous diseases. Dr. Clarke has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and a textbook of Dermatopathology.

Loren Clarke, MD, is a board-certified Pathologist and Dermatopathologist with expertise in clinical dermatopathology, tumor biology, and molecular diagnostics.

Dr. Clarke completed Residency in Pathology at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center followed by a Fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania. He then returned to Penn State as faculty in the Division of Dermatopathology, where he practiced clinical dermatopathology, led a molecular pathology research laboratory, and directed the residency training program in Pathology.

In 2013 Dr. Clarke joined Myriad Genetics to pursue the development of novel molecular diagnostics for melanocytic neoplasms, serving as Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Medical Director for the Dermatology Division.

Dr. Clarke has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and a textbook of Dermatopathology. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, is a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society, has received awards from the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Dermatopathology, and is a recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching.
