Nicholas Louizos

Vice President, Legislative Affairs, California Association of Health Plans

Nicholas Louizos joined the California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) as a legislative advocate in May of 2006 and represents the Association and its member plans in the California Legislature.

Mr. Louizos came to CAHP with nearly 10 years of legislative experience, most recently serving as Senior Consultant for the Chair of the Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, where he worked on health and labor issues. Prior to this position, he served as consultant to the Assembly Labor Committee. As the leader of Legislative Affairs his primary responsibility with CAHP is to advocate for the value of managed care in providing affordable health care to as many Californians as possible.

Mr. Louizos graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He later earned his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
