By focusing on the intersection of health care quality, efficiency, and customer experience along with integration of behavioral health that is delivered equitably, personalized and accessible for all, he drives the identification of high performing providers, facilities and programs. Vik is responsible for assessing and improving the quality of care provided by Cigna’s networks as well as developing and continuously enhancing Cigna’s quality measurement as a component of value based provider incentive programs. Of particular interest is development of quality criteria and measurement as part of the value based provider incentive programs for emerging technologies and emerging treatments.
He works with multiple stakeholders to promote and ensure the “whole person health” of Cigna’s members. He has been closely involved with provider education on Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes through presentations at professional meetings and publishing articles in peer reviewed journals.
He has been a finalist and a winner of several innovation competitions focused on novel product design to decrease the financial burden of customers and medical-behavioral integration in the past.
