Aaron Friedkin is the senior vice president of Care Delivery Transformation at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

In his role, Aaron is accountable for the strategy, execution, and management of new provider partnerships intended to transform the way care is delivered by aligning incentives across payers, providers, and members.

Previously, Aaron established and led the Market Solutions and Clinical Strategies areas within our Health Plan Business division. In these roles, he was responsible for the strategy, delivery and performance of the programs, products and solutions Health Plan Business delivers to its customers, in addition to overseeing the pipeline of clinical initiatives for our commercial business. Prior to joining BCBSM in 2017, Aaron supported large national employers on their health care strategies at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and developed strategies for both payers and providers as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company.

Aaron is a board-certified radiologist, with subspeciality certification in pediatric radiology. Aaron completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Michigan and his pediatric radiology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science in Anatomy at Case Western Reserve University and his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Computer Science at the University of Michigan
