Arthur Garson, Jr. is the founder and Chairman of Grand-Aides, an innovative health care delivery program with caring people improving health of those with chronic disease. He is also the Director of the Health Policy Institute, Texas Medical Center, Houston. He has been Executive VP and Provost of the University of Virginia, previously Dean of the School of Medicine. He has served as the Dean for Academic Operations, Baylor College of Medicine and VP for Quality at Texas Children’s Hospital, previously Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine (IOM), President of the American College of Cardiology, Chair of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s National Advisory Council. He is the author of more than 450 publications including 8 books.
