Dr. Bechara Choucair is responsible for overseeing the national vaccination efforts under the Biden-Harris administration. In this role, he focuses on coordinating the timely, safe, and equitable delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations for the U.S. population, in close partnership with relevant federal departments and agencies, as well as state and local authorities. He also leads the administration’s ambitious effort to administer 100 million vaccinations in the first 100 days. Prior to joining the administration, he served as senior vice president and chief health officer at Kaiser Permanente.
