A respected attorney, administrator, lecturer, and trusted adviser in three gubernatorial administrations, Jason Pizatella practices in the areas of general corporate and business law and also represents clients in the administrative and regulatory law, health insurance and public utility areas. Mr. Pizatella also practices heavily in the area of government relations and represents various clients and their interests before the executive and legislative branches of West Virginia state government. Mr. Pizatella most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Jim Justice after completing a term as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce, an organization representing over 400 businesses throughout the greater Morgantown area.

Before joining state government, Mr. Pizatella began his career at Spilman and later went on to serve as Deputy State Tax Commissioner, Acting Secretary of the Department of Revenue, and Acting Secretary of the Department of Administration. Throughout his time in state government, Pizatella was a member of the Consolidated Public Retirement Board, Water Development Authority, and Capitol Building Commission. He went on to serve as Chairman of the Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council, Parkways Authority, and State Personnel Board.
Mr. Pizatella is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia and is also a member of the adjunct faculty of the West Virginia University College of Law. The Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia recently reappointed Pizatella to another eight-year term on the West Virginia Board of Law Examiners.

West Virginia Executive Magazine named Mr. Pizatella as a member of its 2015 class of “Young Guns” and the Council of State Governments recognized him as a Henry Toll Fellow, one of the country’s premier leadership development programs for state government leaders. The State Journal also named Mr. Pizatella to the 2017 class of “40 Under 40.”

A lifelong West Virginian, native of Fairmont, Marion County, Mr. Pizatella is a graduate of West Virginia University and the West Virginias University College of Law.
