Joel Feigin, M.D. is Sr. Vice President/Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare, a division of UnitedHealth Group that delivers personal health support services to 140 million individuals. Dr. Feigin oversees the clinical strategy development and clinical solution design for business growth and large employer opportunities.
Dr. Feigin joined UnitedHealth Group in 2005. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Dr. Feigin was Sr. Medical Director at the Schering-Plough Corporation where he developed strategic relationships with national medical and professional associations and opinion leaders and led a multidisciplinary team in the design and implementation of national disease management programs. Prior to joining Schering-Plough, Dr. Feigin was Vice President, Medical Management for CIGNA Healthcare where he was involved in national medical management strategy development including their disease management platform.
Dr. Feigin is a graduate of the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center. He completed his residency training at the University of Massachusetts Family Practice Residency Program. He is a board-certified family physician, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, with over 25 years of clinical practice and academic post graduate teaching experience.
