Scoring his first three #1 songs as a songwriter in the previous eighteen months, songwriter and touring artist, Josh Thompson is on a roll! Thompson is the reigning AIMP Nashville Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, an honor bestowed on him in part for co-writing the Blake Shelton smash, “I’ll Name The Dogs” and both “Any Ol’ Barstool” and “Drowns The Whiskey” recorded by Jason Aldean. “Drowns The Whiskey” which also featured Miranda Lambert, and was a 2018 CMA Nominee for Song and Single of the Year.

Thompson has co-written over thirty major label cuts since 2017 including releases and placements by Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Brett Young, Jon Pardi,  Jake Owen, Michael Ray, Chris Lane and Easton Corbin, among many others.

As an artist, Thompson has charted such hits as the RIAA Gold certified hit, “Way Out Here” (Sony Nashville) and “Beer On The Table” (Show Dog Records), and continues to tour throughout the U.S.
